My love for Creative Kinesiology….

I am a Creative Kinesiologist and I work mainly with women. And I love it, every minute of my work. It actually doesn’t feel like work, it’s more a calling, a way of changing the world and an adventure.

What is it, you wonder?

Kinesiology is a holistic therapy that has been around since the 1960’s, originally developed by a north-american Chiropractor, Dr. George Goodheart. He discovered amongst other things that specific muscles in our body are connected to corresponding meridians and that imbalances in our energy system can be assessed by testing these muscles.

His main discovery was that a therapist can communicate with a client’s body through the muscle test – Your body knows the answer.

Since then Kinesiology has come a long way and is one of the fastest growing and interesting types of holistic health care. Today there are many branches of Kinesiology. Some of them are mainly used by medical practitioners like dentists and chiropractors to work on injuries, posture or test out suitable materials for fillings.

And many of them branched out into different areas like Coaching Kinesiology and Music- Kinesiology, which uses the healing power of music and sound to bring a person back into balance.

They are all based on the knowledge that the muscle test is a tool to communicate with different layers of a person in order to determine what is preventing her from achieving her goals – may that be a pain free back or finding her purpose in life and what she needs to overcome these blocks.

I have been experiencing and practicing several types of Kinesiology since 2004. That was when my own exciting journey of healing, personal and spiritual development with Kinesiology started.

Before I discovered Kinesiology and during my studies I trained in homeopathy, herbalism, flower essences and Reiki and I worked as a Social worker exclusively with women. I specialised in (sexual) violence against women and women’s health and worked mainly in feminist projects like rape crisis centres and the Feminist Women’s Health Centre in Berlin. I trained to become a Wen -Do instructor, a self defence system developed from women for women. This helped me to realise how strong we women really are – in every regard.

And it all really came together when I discovered Creative Kinesiology in the UK in 2012.

CK goes deeper than most other branches with its believe that with the muscle test we can not only communicate with the body, but with all layers of a person: conscious, subconscious and unconscious, the emotions, the mind and the soul. It  enables people to explore the meaning behind their symptoms and the root cause of their problems – something especially we women are interested in as part of our journey to understand and heal ourselves and others and to be self-responsible for our wellbeing instead of having blind faith in so called health experts.

In a session the client works co-creatively together with the practitioner, tracking back over the landscape of her life to find clues that may relate to where and when her symptoms first became anchored in her body and/or energy system.

This approach recognises that we are made up of our stories, with our life experiences contributing to who we are today. But not all of our past is helpful or supportive to live our life’s now. We are often limited by our thoughts, beliefs and stories about who we are. Often these limitations become a way of life and we forget that something better is possible – weather this is related to our health, work, relationships, personal or spiritual growth.

No matter what our problems are, CK enables us to understand what is stopping us from living our full potential and it finds the remedies or techniques that help to transform our blockages, support our bodies to find their own way of healing and enable us to get back on track with our life.

Clues to explore our story can come from talking about the situation, an oracle card, a journey into a past life or back into our ancestral line or any other source the muscle test reveals.

And the actual healing techniques are just as creative: It can be a flower or gem essence, a crystal, holding acupressure points, a visualisation or many more. Some part of us knows what we need to get healed and whole again and with the muscle test we tap into that wisdom.

Each session honors and celebrates our uniqueness and enables us to actively improve our health and wellbeing, achieve our goals and connect us to our passion and joy.

A CK session is always a journey into unchartered territory, often exciting and surprising, sometimes fun and always healing.

And that’s why I love it so much…

Love and light
